The Plasmeus (IPA:/pləs.mi.ʌs/) are an extremely intelligent species and a member of the Enorisian Empire. They were created by the Aowlinyar, as one of the experimental species created in the Alizia Galaxy. They were the first of the Aowlinyar-created species to be contacted, and they left about two millenia after their creation. Though they are extremely intelligent, they didn't divulge most of their true knowledge to the Siyang and Gemtir until decades after they joined the Empire, and many still claim they have many secrets left to tell. Their high level of intelligence can be attributed to their collective intelligence as well as their age; the average lifespan of a Plasmeus is about 10,000 years. They have several other unique attributes as well, owing to their creation by the Aowlinyar.

Anatomy

At first glance the Plasmeus appear to be frail and fragile. They have long, bony arms and legs with tightly wrapped skin that exaggerates the bony appearance. Their legs have two hinge joints, with the first one, coming from the hip, allowing movement forward and the second one allowing movement backwards. When walking, they generally keep these joints bent at a tight angle, though they are able to fully extend one or both joints, independent of eachother. When fully extended, they can gain between 1'6" and 2'4" in height; they normally stand at around 5'6". Due to their extremely skinny bodies, they are often extremely light; they often weight between 95 and 110 pouds. They have dark, black skin held tight to their bones that has a scaly texture to it, and it reflects some light that hits it. Often their skin has streaks of light and dark grey, becoming more prominent with age.

Due to their long stride and low weight, they are exceptionally fast and can easily outrun most creatures. In addition to this, they are agile and slender, and they can lift themselves up quite easily. They find no trouble in scaling vertical faces, provided there is something to grab hold of. The Plasmeus are also surprisingly strong, being able to lift about 150 pounds without putting forth much effort. Thanks to extremely dense bones, fractures and breaks are very rare, and falls, even from large heights, tend to do very little damage, though the tight skin can be torn if sliding along the ground occurs.

The stomach and chest of the Plasmeus is very similiar to the rest of their body. Their skin is pulled tightly against the ribcage, which is a series of lateral slats arching down from their collar bone to the midpoint of their abdomen. They are connected horizontally by an extremely resilient cartilage-like tissue that disperses blunt force, though it can still be damaged by sharp objects. This ribcage protects their major internal organs well. They have an extremely flexible spinal cord, and are capable of arching their backs to angles which are impossible for most species.

They have a long, thin, curved neck that slants forward, bending outwards, and their spine has dual supports to keep the head up. The Plasmeus have a long, thin head, containing three eyes. Two of them are on either side and one on the front, in the middle and down a small amount further than the other two. They also have a small mouth opening, generally used for when they need sustinence (which is a very rare occurence). They have a relatively large brain, which takes about 90% of their skull. The skull itself is very thin, but it is surrounded by the same cartilage-like tissue that covers their ribcage.

Their fingers extend directly form their arms, and they have no truly discernable hand. They have four fingers, each which are about nine inches long, and they are triple jointed, each joint being a hinge joint. Each finger is extremely muscular, and they have a very, very powerful grip. Their feet are constructed in a similiar manner, but they only have three toes. They form a sort of tripod base, and they have as much control over their toes as they do their fingers.
