Gij Aux

The Gij Aux (IPA:/gɪdʒ ɑks/), also known as the Gahlihri (IPA:/gəl.ɪɹ.i/) in Accetum (translated to the Lesser), are a species of the Enorisian Empire and one of the original empire species. Their homeworld is Neygian and they are the dominant species on it. Along with the Siyang and Gemtir, they inhabit the Aparetun System. The Gij Aux are also partially notable for being enslaved by the Siyang for several hundred years, before the First System War with the Gemtir freed them.

Anatomy

The Gij Aux are bipedal humanoids. Their ancestors were bipedal reptillians, and they still retain many reptillian qualities. While not as prominent and defined as it was in their ancestors, they still retain rough, scaly skin and claws. The claws have essentially become thick, long fingernails, though they can still be used as weapons. Depending on the race encountered, the Gij Aux have quills or feathers on their head, similiar in placement to hair. This is a left-over from their ancestor species, where the feathers were useful for retaining heat in cold weather (the quills are derived from the feathers).

The Gij Aux are generally between 5'4" and 5'11" and 100 and 175 pounds. They are generally smaller and stockier around the poles and taller and more slender as one gets closer to the equator. They are fairly strong, being capable of lifting their own body weight at a young age, and are considerably fast.
